Highly advanced earth observation satellite
ISRO on November 27, 2019 successfully launched its Cartosat-3 satellite alongwith 13 other nano satellites of the USA on board PSLV- C47 launching vehicle from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. The 1625 kg Cartosat-3 is the first in the third generation Earth observation satellites with a high resolution imaging capability and the ninth in the Cartosat series. It is ISRO’s fifth launch of the year. Cartosat 3 would help large-scale urban planning, rural resource management and infrastructure development, besides providing information for coastal land use and its cover.

New Zealand Parliament on November 7, 2019 approved a legally binding framework to cut carbon emissions to net zero by the year 2050. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said that the new law was a legal measure to keep global warming below a rise of 1.5 degree Celsius forecast by the UN.
